Great job yesterday finding patterns in the addition and subtraction of integers.

I wanted to share some observation you guys made yesterday that were really important:

ADAM VEGA

I think adding a positive and subtracting a negative is the same because if you do 5-(-3) its the same as doing 5+3

ANGELICA CAMACHO

I think that she means that subtracting can be like adding if you subtract a negative number and vice versa.

Hi!

On Tuesday, we noticed some interesting things happened when we "removed" negative cards from our total.  This always increased the value our our total!

Today, we are going to explore some more patterns with adding and subtracting integers using a website.

Here's another interesting question: Will subtracting two numbers always give you a result that is less than the number you started from?
